Job summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions (ACS), a division of Amphenol Corporation, is seeking a Field Applications Engineer to support large Enterprise and Consumer Company.

The role interfaces with customers, internal product development, product marketing, and the extended sales team to provide world-class interconnect solutions. The FAE will lead technical aspects of the sales cycle and develop customer-facing materials, with some travel to US or Taiwan locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or technical equivalent.
• Electrical or Mechanical Engineering preferred.
• 2+ years' experience in Design or Applications Engineering of electrical hardware components/interconnect solutions.

Responsibilities

• Engineering resource on the sales team to lead technical aspects of the sales cycle; discovery, design, prototyping, and production.
• Providing technical marketing support for the development and design of products, including internal/external power, memory, storage, and internal IO.
• Prepare and participate in delivering technical presentations to the customer.
• Develop customer-facing material that is application specific.
• Provide customer support for all technical inquiries; provide product solutions to address customer concerns.
• Help devise strategies to differentiate our products and solutions from competitors.
• Meet and exceed strategic objectives.
• Some travel will be required to other customer or Amphenol locations in the US or Taiwan.

The primary end markets for the Company's products are communications and information processing. Including cable television, cellular telephone and data communication, storage, and information processing systems; aerospace and military electronics; and automotive, rail and other transportation and industrial applications.

Education/ Experience:

• Bachelor's Degreein an Engineering discipline or other technical equivalent
  • Electrical Engineering, Mechanical EngineeringPreferred
• 2+ years' experiencein Design or Applications Engineering ofelectrical hardware components/interconnect solutions industry
• Experienceproviding product marketingand technical support to produce design wins

Skills:

• Proficient in communicatingacross organizational hierarchies
• High levelof customer service, ability to build rapport with customers
• Proficient use of modelingtools such asCreoor Solid Works.
• Strongorganizationalandpresentation skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office365(Excel, PowerPoint)
• Strong Program/Project Management
