Nextpower in Fremont, California, is seeking a Field Applications Engineer to drive innovation in their PV + Storage power plant solutions. This hybrid role involves system design, testing, and field support to enhance reliability and performance.

The Field Applications Engineer, Electrical Systems will play a critical role in the design, validation, testing, and deployment of Nextpower’s utility‑scale PV + Storage power plant solutions. This hybrid role combines responsibilities across Electrical Balance of System (eBOS) engineering and Field Application Engineering, supporting both product development and real‑world implementation. The engineer will work across the full lifecycle of electrical systems—including design, integration, testing, commissioning, and field support—to ensure reliable, compliant, and high‑performance operation of Nextpower’s power block technologies. This position is based in Fremont, California, with periodic travel to test facilities and project sites.
This role bridges product development and field execution, combining deep electrical system design expertise with hands‑on testing and deployment experience. The ideal candidate thrives in both engineering and field environments and is passionate about advancing next‑generation PV + Storage power plant solutions.

Pay is based on market location and may vary based on factors including experience, skills, education and other job‑related reasons. The annual salary range for this position is $100,000.00-$110,000.00 (Applicable to California).
