Job summary

Renishaw is seeking a Field Applications Engineer-CMM to install, integrate, and support Renishaw CMM control systems across end users and integrators. The role focuses on onsite/offsite support, calibration, and training within the United States, with significant travel.

Ideal candidates have a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, strong troubleshooting skills, and experience with GD&T, CAD/CAM, and Renishaw CMM products. Domestic travel may exceed 75%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent discipline or experience.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to understand engineering principles.
• Knowledge of GD&T and CAD/CAM in a manufacturing/quality context.
• ITAR data eligibility may be required; ability to access controlled data.

Responsibilities

• Install, integrate, and support Renishaw CMM control systems onsite and remotely.
• Retrofitting, calibrating, and certifying existing CMM installations with Renishaw tech.
• Provide technical and commercial support to sales teams and distributors.
• Train end users, integrators, and staff on CGPD products.
• Create and maintain troubleshooting documentation; assist trade shows and events.
• Domestic travel up to 75%+, with possible international travel; other duties as assigned.

## Field Applications Engineer-CMMApplylocations: United States (Home Office)time type: Full timeposted on: Posted Todayjob requisition id: R9839## **Job Description**Renishaw CMM and Gauging Products Division (CGPD) is seeking a Field Applications Engineer-CMM to install, integrate, and offer continuing support for Renishaw’s coordinate measuring machine control systems. This will be both directly with end users and other integrators. Customers include, but are not limited to Aerospace, Automotive, Defense, and Medical. Travel expectations for this role typically exceed 75% and will be a home office role based within our USA, Ohio region. **Principal Duties & Responsibilities*** Onsite installation of new coordinate measuring machines.* Complete retrofit, calibration, and certification of existing coordinate measuring machine installation with new Renishaw technology.* Onsite/Offsite support for Installation and integration of new products onto existing coordinate measuring machines.* Technical and commercial support of CGPD product line to direct sales force and distributors.* Investigate and resolve product issues for both internal and external sales.* Complete training on CGPD products for end users, integrators, and other staff.* Create and maintain technical support documentation for troubleshooting.* Assist in preparation and supporting trade shows, exhibitions, and open houses.* Domestic travel may exceed 75% with some international travel required.* Other duties as assigned or requested. **Qualifications****Education and Experience:** ***Minimum**** Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent discipline or experience equivalent.* Ability to understand and comprehend engineering principles.* Understanding of electronic and mechanical principles.* Strong trouble shooting skills.* Information Technology aptitude.* Computer competency.* Strong mathematical skillsi.e. Trigonometry* This position may require the use of, and access to, ITAR controlled data.
