Equal1 is seeking a mid-level Field Applications Engineer to join our Dublin team in a remote-capable role within the Sales group. You will partner with enterprise clients to architect and deploy quantum-ready solutions, bridging complex tech and business outcomes.

The role emphasizes client-facing communication, technical credibility, and collaboration with internal R&D and external partners to enable successful deployments and demonstrations across software, hardware, and systems engineering

Formación

• Degree in a relevant technical discipline or equivalent professional experience.
• 2–4 years of relevant work experience; PhD may waive up to 2 years.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of classical computational theory.
• Advanced knowledge in domains such as classical algorithms, scientific programming / computational mathematics, AI / ML, or HPC.
• Strong software engineering skills.
• Strong knowledge of linear algebra fundamentals.
• Proficiency in Python.

Responsabilidades

• Serve as the primary technical point of contact for commercial engagements.
• Establish technical credibility with client executives and engineering teams from discovery through sale and delivery.
• Deliver live technical pitches, represent the company at events and conferences, and run on-site or remote demonstrations.
• Assess customer infrastructure and architect suitable solutions and support deployment planning.
• Support virtualization, system services, and commissioning logistics for on-prem deployments.
• Provide project management and operational support for client delivery and partner evaluations.
• Provide ongoing technical support, system administration, and troubleshooting for customer implementations and partner systems.
• Contribute technical input to whitepapers, use cases, data sheets, and executive presentations.

We are seeking an exceptional, client-facing Field Applications Engineer to join our team. Driven by commercial impact, you will partner directly with enterprise clients to architect, build, and deploy technical solutions leveraging Equal1’s silicon spin QPUs. This role requires outstanding communication skills to bridge complex technical systems with high-stakes enterprise execution. The Field Applications department is the commercial strike team engineered for high-stakes execution. We deliver quantum computing to the market by uniting software systems integration, scientific formulation, and compelling technical storytelling to close enterprise deals. Operating at the intersection of business, quantum information science, and software / hardware / systems engineering, our team serves as the vital bridge between internal R&D teams, business partners, external collaborators, and clients. Main Duties and Responsibilities Serve as the primary technical point of contact for commercial engagements. Establish technical credibility with client executives and engineering teams during discovery, pre-sales, through sale and delivery. Deliver live technical pitches, represent the company at industry events / conferences, and run on-site or remote hardware and software demonstrations.
