Job summary

IronRidge, an Enstall company, is seeking a Field Applications Engineer based in the Northeast/New England region to grow our solar mounting solutions. You will conduct technical product applications, demonstrations, and training with sales teams and customers on rooftops and ground installations.

You will design PV layouts, provide on-the-ground support, capture feedback for product teams, and report market trends.

Qualifications

• Three to five years related experience and/or training or a bachelor’s degree from a 4-year college or university; or equivalent combination of experience and education.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, technical installation and engineering procedures, and governmental regulations.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
• OSHA 10 Construction certification.
• NABCEP certification a plus.
• Spanish language skills a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan territory technical sales visits, events, trainings.
• Generate training reports to ensure customer and sales engagements are tracked.
• Coordinate and provide on-the-job training for opportunities on-ground and rooftop.
• Provide feedback to product teams for improvements.
• Design PV layouts in PV design software to support Sales and End Users.
• Document and track application support questions and calls.
• Discuss competitive landscape and market trends during weekly updates.

What You'll Do

The Field Applications Engineer is primarily responsible for cultivating business opportunities through activities such as technical product application support, product demonstrations, joint calls with sales personnel, direct customer visits, and product training. The FAE diligently expands IronRidge's network of influence and leverages their expertise to continually promote the IronRidge value proposition.

• Plan territory technical sales visits, events, trainings
• Generate training reports to ensure all customer and sales engagements are being accounted for and captured
• Coordinate and provide on-the-job (OJT) training for new opportunities on the ground and rooftop
• Provide customer feedback on improvements to products and/or training content.
• Leverage professional network, coordinating training and with non-competing solar manufacturers in an effort to generate product demand.
• Organize and assist in the development of curriculum for new products/services, including reference library, multimedia visual aids, and other educational material
• Maintain records as needed and report on relevant changes in the weekly meeting to keep everyone appraised of changes in products, market trends, and code compliance.
• Regularly report on competitive landscape of region and other market intelligence
• Design PV layouts in IR and other PV design software to support Sales, Distributors, and End Users
• Accurately document application support questions and calls
• Provides feedback to Engineering and Product Teams for product development
• Perform any additional duties as assigned.

What You'll Bring

• Three to five years related experience and/or training or a bachelor’s degree from a 4-year college or university; or equivalent combination of experience and education.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, technical installation and engineering, procedures, and governmental regulations.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to lift and carry solar modules up to 50 lbs
• Must be comfortable working at heights, including rooftop
• Familiarity with Salesforce (CRM systems), and MS Excel and able to learn and adapt to a variety of software tools.
• Competency in solar layout, design, mounting, waterproofing, and racking for residential and light commercial installations.
• Ability to speak in public to small and large groups.
• OSHA 10 Construction required
• NABCEP certification a plus
• Spanish a plus

This position is based in Northeast with a preference for candidates in New England.

We offer competitive compensation determined by each individual's relevant experience, skills, education, and location.

We anticipate the base salary for this position to be between $100,000-$112,000/annually, if located in the New Englandmarket.
