Job summary

Field Fastener is seeking an experienced, independent Team Member for our Technical Team across multiple sites including Florence, SC. The role requires strong mechanical engineering knowledge, hands-on aptitude, and the ability to interact with internal and external customers while guiding projects and cost-saving initiatives.

The position reports to a supervisor and may involve up to 25% travel. A starting salary of $60,000–$70,000 annually is offered plus comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a technical role.
• Understanding of mechanical engineering principles.
• Mechanical hands-on/roll-up your sleeves/get dirty desire and experience.
• Customer interaction including presentations.

Responsibilities

• Analyze problems, develop, and present alternative solutions and influence outcomes.
• Provide technical guidance and direct support to internal customers regarding implementations and part creations, sourcing decisions, non-conformance troubleshooting and testing, specifications interpretation, and internal technical training.
• Provide technical support to internal production operations, such as kitting and assembly, as needed.
• Assist with technical guidance to external customers regarding cost savings, redesigns of product/assemblies, quality-related information, and mechanical expertise as needed.
• Lead Field's internal technical training and maintain effective communication with internal/external customers and suppliers.
