Job summary

Alamar Biosciences is seeking a Field Application Scientist for the Northeast to support biomarker discovery and proteomics instrumentation applications. You will train customers, manage technical cases, and collaborate with R&D to shape product development.

This hands-on role offers significant impact on life science research and early disease detection. The ideal candidate has a PhD in molecular biology with 2+ years in technical support, strong presentation skills, and a track record in life

Qualifications

• PhD in molecular biology or related field with biomarker discovery experience.
• At least 2 years in customer support or technical/applications support.
• Residence within the Northeast territory (Greater Boston area).
• Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
• Experience in proteomics, NGS, assay development or related life sciences is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Be the primary technical and scientific contact for territory customers.
• Provide remote and in-lab product training and evaluations for customers.
• Manage technical support cases and escalations ensuring timely resolutions.
• Contribute to the technical knowledgebase and scalable support processes.
• Apply biomarker discovery expertise to guide proteomics platform development.
• Collaborate with internal R&D teams during product development to provide feedback.
• Create customer training materials and documentation with internal resources.
• Assist in scaling CRM with ERP and marketing automation integration.
• Deliver scientific presentations at conferences and webinars.
• Provide expert technical knowledge during discussions about product offerings.
• Cultivate and manage collaborations with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs).
• Handle customer complaints and track them in CRM.
• Gather Voice of Customer insights to inform product improvements.
