Job summary

Spear Bio Inc. in Woburn, MA is seeking a Field Application Scientist to support customers in immunoassay workflows and to train users on SPEAR UltraDetect.

You'll travel up to 40% across the US, primarily East Coast, and spend time in the lab when not traveling, developing applications and providing technical support.

This role requires strong communication, troubleshooting, and collaboration with RUO, pharma, and academic partners, contributing to Spear Bio's growth.

Qualifications

• PhD or MS in Biology, Biochemistry, Neuroscience, or Bioengineering.
• 2+ years lab and troubleshooting with immunoassays for biomarker analysis.
• 2+ years in-person customer pre/post-sales and demos.
• Experience with qPCR and liquid handling machines.
• Willingness to travel up to 40% (incl. overnights).

Responsibilities

• Support and train customers on SPEAR UltraDetect immunoassay technology.
• Lead on-site product demos, training, and collaborative projects.
• Perform client sample testing and present performance results.
• Develop new applications and generate technical collateral.
• Troubleshoot immunoassay issues and improve workflows.
• Provide voice-of-customer feedback to product teams.
