Job summary

Infinite Electronics Inc. is seeking an ambitious Field Applications Engineering Lead to drive profitable growth within the Industrial BU.

The role requires deep product knowledge, leadership of the FAE team, and close collaboration with customers to translate needs into engineered solutions. The successful candidate will manage customer engagements, guide design-in strategies, and work with Sales to maximize opportunities while traveling 50% or more.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering, with specialization in electromechanical design.
• 10+ years of working experience in Field Application Engineering, Applications Engineering, or Technical Sales Support.
• 3+ years experience leading or mentoring technical teams.
• Strong technical expertise and in-depth understanding of the industry landscape, dynamics, value chain, pricing structures, technology, and trends.
• Strong customer-facing and design-in experience.
• Demonstrated history of commercial success with application design-in.
• Willing to travel 50% or more of time.
• MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) ability.

Responsibilities

• Lead customer-facing technical engagements including design reviews, application validation, and solution architecture.
• Act as the senior technical escalation for complex applications and custom designs.
• Lead, coach, and develop the Field Application Engineering team.
• Partner with Sales to support design-in, key accounts, and strategic opportunities.

This position drives profitable organic growth within the Industrial BU, by working closely with our customers to build upon custom and application specific solutions in line with the Business Unit strategy. This position requires an in-depth knowledge of the products and their markets, applications, customers, suppliers, and competitors, developed by spending a significant amount of time outside Infinite Electronics. The FAE Lead will be responsible for a team of FAE’s with the application and custom product focus to drive key relationships with Infinites customers.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Key Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering, with specialization in electromechanical design.

Preferred Requirements

• Master’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering
• Relations with key players (customers, third parties, distribution, trade associations…) in the market.
• Application specialist in growth markets with customer relationships.
