Summary

We seek a highly motivated Field Applications Engineer / Field Solutions Architect to support our western US region in presales and sales of Vehicle Networking products and solutions. The role involves technical integration of Airgain's wireless products across multiple markets. This position is remote, within the western US.

Responsibilities
  • Support integration of Airgain technologies into customer systems
  • Support deployed vehicle networking products such as routers and shark fin antennas
  • Gather requirements from customers and relay to engineering
  • Partner with design engineers to meet customer needs
  • Plan resources to support customer project schedules
  • Deliver technical and commercial presentations
  • Troubleshoot and document field issues
  • Assist with 4G/5G product integrations into cellular networks
  • Train customers on cellular connectivity
  • Coordinate with engineering, product management, and testing teams based on project schedules
  • Support QBRs and contribute to sales and marketing strategies
  • Support connectivity demos
Requirements/Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (preferred)
  • 3+ years of technical sales/marketing experience
  • Broad understanding of RF and wireless communication technologies
  • Experience with Fixed Wireless Access, network repeaters, LTE infrastructure
  • Understanding of user devices, radio networks, and vehicle networking
  • Knowledge of communication protocols (TCP, UDP, ICMP, TR-069, SNMP)
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to travel +25% within the US and internationally
  • Previous experience as a Field Application Engineer or similar (desired)
  • Experience resolving cellular infrastructure issues (desired)
  • Hands-on experience with base stations or DAS
  • Proficiency with high-speed data communication test equipment (desired)
  • Experience troubleshooting cell coverage, APNs, SIMs, terminal programs, power supplies (desired)
  • Customer interaction and relationship management skills (desired)
  • Experience with vehicle networking (desired)
