Job summary

ITW Food Equipment Group in Troy, OH seeks an Application Engineer, Field Support to respond to escalated quality concerns and train customers and technicians. This role collaborates with the Hobart Technology Center and Quality Teams to maintain product uptime.

You will travel about 50% to support field service activities, diagnose issues, and provide hands-on field and lab testing support for warewash equipment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering with 3+ years hands-on lab or field experience evaluating equipment quality issues.
• Customer service experience and proficiency with MS Office.
• Experience reading drawings and technical documents.
• Food equipment industry experience preferred; warewash maintenance/repair preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interact directly with customers and build relationships through issue resolution.
• Provide support to service technicians to repair products in the field.
• Apply root-cause problem solving to quality issues.
• Become a technical expert of Warewash products and features.
• Administer maintenance training programs for key accounts and partnerships.
• Support lab life testing and part returns with reports.
• Support lab machine testing with reports.
• Collaborate with Design Engineering and Quality Teams to refine documentation.
