Job summary

Illinois Tool Works (ITW) in Troy, OH, is seeking an Application Engineer in the Warewash Division to support customers with field quality issues, train service technicians, and improve product uptime. You will collaborate with Design Engineering and Quality teams at the Hobart Technology Center.

The role requires hands-on lab or field experience, problem-solving skills, and the ability to travel about 50% of the time, with a focus on maintaining strong customer relationships and product quality

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and 3+ years of hands-on lab or field experience evaluating equipment quality issues.
• Customer service experience.
• MS Office application proficiency.
• Experience reading drawings and technical documents.
• Food equipment industry experience, preferred.
• Warewash or similar product maintenance and repair experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interact directly with customers and build relationships through issue resolution.
• Provide support to service technicians to successfully repair products in the field.
• Apply problem solving methodologies to determine root cause of quality issues.
• Become a technical expert of Warewash products and features.
• Administer maintenance training programs for key accounts and strategic partnerships.
• Support lab life testing and part returns w/reports.
• Support lab machine testing w/reports.
• Refine documentation with Technical Publications and Service Training teams.
