Job summary

A global technology leader is seeking a Senior Field Application Engineer to architect technical solutions and influence customer adoption. You will lead system simulation proposals, guide major OEMs, and integrate advanced tools for enhanced performance. The ideal candidate has over 12 years of experience in embedded systems and C/C++. This full-time position also supports international travel.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in embedded systems, virtual prototyping, hardware simulation/emulation or technical pre/post-sales.
• Strong knowledge of MCU/SoC architectures and hardware-software interaction.
• Experience with safety standards (ISO 26262, DO-178C) highly valued.
• Advanced experience in C/C++ and Python, debugging (GDB), performance tuning
• Confident presenting to both engineering and executive audiences

Responsibilities

• Lead high-impact system simulation proposals using virtual hardware.
• Integrate into existing toolchains and conduct performance optimisation sessions.
• Act as the voice of the customer to R&D.
• Integrate into existing toolchains (e.g. MATLAB/Simulink, FMI, ASAM, SIL testing environments)
• Deliver training, hands‑on workshops and deep‑dive performance optimisation sessions
• Support deployments (on‑prem or cloud), troubleshoot critical issues and refine simulation performance
• Act as the voice of the customer to R&D – converting field insights into meaningful product enhancements
• Track adoption, usage depth and customer success metrics to support renewal and expansion

We’re now looking for a Senior Field Application Engineer— someone who combines deep technical credibility with commercial influence. Someone who can architect technical solutions, guide customer adoption and act as the bridge between R&D innovation and real‑world deployment.

Impact

You’ll be the technical authority in front of major OEMs, semiconductor leaders and global engineering teams. Not just responding to technical questions—but shaping system architecture strategy, driving ROI conversations, and directly influencing revenue growth.

• Lead high‑impact system simulation proposals using virtual hardware and configuration across L1 to L4 Virtual ECUs
• Configure and demonstrate complete solutions using SystemC, QEMU, and Arm Fast Models, validating performance and simulation scalability
• Partner with sales to design proposals, build technical business cases and influence decision‑makers
• Integrate into existing toolchains (e.g. MATLAB/Simulink, FMI, ASAM, SIL testing environments)
• Deliver training, hands‑on workshops and deep‑dive performance optimisation sessions
• Support deployments (on‑prem or cloud), troubleshoot critical issues and refine simulation performance
• Act as the voice of the customer to R&D – converting field insights into meaningful product enhancements
• Track adoption, usage depth and customer success metrics to support renewal and expansion

You’re likely operating in a senior or principal‑level technical advisory role today (e.g. Field Application Engineer, Technical Consultant, Virtual Prototyping Expert).

You’ll bring:

• 12+ years in embedded systems, virtual prototyping, hardware simulation/emulation or technical pre/post‑sales
• Strong knowledge of MCU/SoC architectures (Arm, Tricore, RH850, RISC‑V) and hardware–software interaction
• Proven capability influencing engineering teams and senior stakeholders
• Advanced experience in C/C++ and Python, debugging (GDB), performance tuning
• Confident presenting to both engineering and executive audiences
• Experience with safety standards (ISO 26262, DO-178C) highly valued
• Comfortable with international travel (up to 1–2 weeks/month)
