Advancing People Multilingual is recruiting a Field Application Engineer (Mandarin speaking) to join our client in California. You will act as a key technical contact for customers across data centres, servers and electronics, resolving quality and engineering issues with speed and precision.

The role requires strong technical knowledge in high-speed interconnects, plus excellent Mandarin and English communication.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in customer-facing Technical Service, FAE or Customer Quality Engineering.
• Experience with high-speed connectors, cables or interconnect products is advantageous.
• Experience supporting customers in data centres, cloud computing, servers or electronics markets is beneficial.

Responsabilidades

• Act as a key technical contact for customers and respond to quality and engineering requirements.
• Take ownership of customer quality issues from identification to resolution.
• Conduct regular visits to customer facilities across the US.
• Investigate technical and quality issues, identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with customer engineering, quality, procurement and manufacturing teams.
• Coordinate with internal teams to meet customer requirements and support audits.
• Assist with audits, quality reviews and technical discussions as needed.

Advancing People Multilingual are working with a leading global manufacturer of high-performance electronic interconnect solutions who are looking to recruit a Field Application Engineer (FAE) - Mandarin Speaking to join the team in California, US.

This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with experience in high-speed connectors, cables, interconnects or related technologies who enjoys working directly with customers across the technology, data centre, server and electronics sectors.

The successful candidate will combine strong technical knowledge with excellent customer relationship and problem-solving skills, acting as a key technical point of contact for customers and helping to resolve complex quality and engineering challenges.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a key technical contact for customers, responding quickly and effectively to quality and engineering requirements.
• Take ownership of customer quality issues from initial identification through to resolution.
• Conduct regular visits to customer manufacturing and production facilities across the US.
• Investigate technical and quality issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective corrective actions.
• Work closely with customer engineering, quality, procurement and manufacturing teams.
• Work closely with internal engineering, quality, manufacturing and commercial teams to ensure customer requirements are met.
• Support customer audits, quality reviews and technical discussions where required.

Person Specification

• Fluent Mandarin and English
• A Bachelor's degree or higher in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience in customer-facing Technical Service, FAE, Customer Quality Engineering or a similar role.
• Experience working with high-speed connectors, cables, bare wire or electronic interconnect products would be highly advantageous.
• Experience supporting customers within data centres, cloud computing, servers, electronics or related technology markets would be particularly beneficial.
• A strong understanding of quality management systems, ideally including ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and/or IATF 16949 / TS16949.
• Practical experience with auditing, quality systems or quality improvement programmes.
• An understanding of SI testing for high-speed cables/connectors, product extrusion and assembly-process troubleshooting would be advantageous.
• The ability to work independently and take ownership of customer issues through to resolution.

Location

The position is based in California, with candidates already located in California or those willing to relocate encouraged to apply.

Due to the customer-facing nature of the position, regular travel to customer sites across the US will be required.

This is a full-time permanent position offering an annual basic salary of up to $96,000 + attractive company benefits
