THE ROLE:
We are looking for a Field Applications Engineer (FAE) focused primarily on AMD FPGA technology. This is a field-focused position. The engineer will provide pre and post sales technical guidance to customers, including system and module level design evaluations, technical issue resolutionand developing reference designs and delivering demonstrations. In top customer engagements, the FAE may become a consistent technical contributor and “extension” of the customer’s development team. In addition, the FAE will provide feedback to AMD product development teams on current and future products, including tools, run-time software, device architectures and IP. The role will also involve creating and delivering training material for customers in the area of effective design methodologies.
Position will require travel to customer locations in the Bay Area that is achievable by an automobile. Occasional travel by airplane to conferences typically only once a year.
