Job summary

Qnity is seeking a Field Application Engineer to support the Bay Area Territory in Northern California. You will work with OEM engineers, distributors, and sales teams to implement Laird and Qnity solutions, presenting design concepts and driving prototypes from concept to production.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, 6+ years of relevant experience, and strong skills in solid modeling (Solidworks) and FEA.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in a relevant position.
• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or technical field.
• 3+ years experience at the component or subsystem design level.
• Experience in thermal management or EMI management is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with OEM engineers, reps, distributors and sales managers to enable Laird solutions.
• Attend customer meetings and provide technical design support while building relationships.
• Present design solutions using modeling and simulation.
• Drive prototypes and initial production builds to meet timelines.
• Manage and direct projects through a multi-disciplinary design team.
