Job summary

nVent is seeking a technically adept lead to partner with customers, sales, and engineering to translate real-world challenges into practical data center solutions. The role emphasizes field-based, cross-functional collaboration across the Central US and LATAM region, with strong emphasis on electrical and cooling systems.

The ideal candidate has a mechanical/electrical background, 5+ years in data center product support, and fluency in English and Spanish.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical or applications engineering; Data Center infra experience.
• English and Spanish proficiency highly preferred.
• 5+ years in a technical applications role supporting Data Center products.
• Strong background in Power and Air/Liquid Cooling in Data Center environments.
• Understanding of Data Center Power and Cooling Architecture from UPS to rack-level.

Responsibilities

• Serve as domain authority for nVent Data Center Solutions in Central US and LATAM.
• Provide first-line product support using nVent Data Solutions and Electrical Connections.
• Evaluate customer RFQs and build detailed costing/quotes.
• Provide technical application assistance for modified products per customer specs.
• Prepare quotations & proposals using CPQ and ERP systems.
• Lead product trainings for customers and distributors; prepare compliance documents.
• Drive strategic projects for cost reduction and new product development.
• Review training literature for accuracy and update as needed.
• Represent nVent in industry codes and standards committees.
• Share market intelligence with commercial teams; assist VOC visits.
• Plan activities with the Sales Leader; coordinate with teams across regions.
• Identify late-stage opportunities with sales and provide technical support.
• Operate 100% remotely in Central US with travel ~30% across US and LATAM.
