Field Applications Engineer – Industrial Automation (Northern New Jersey)

If you’re an engineer who loves solving problems, working directly with customers, and staying hands‑on with automation technology, this might be a great fit.

You’ll work with one of the most respected electrical and automation distributors in the region, supporting customers with automation, drives, PLCs, motion control, and machine vision systems. This role combines technical support and customer‑facing interaction. You’ll be part engineer, part consultant, part trusted advisor.

What You’ll Do

• Provide pre‑ and post‑sales support for automation, drives, PLCs, and motion systems
• Assist with proofs of concept and application troubleshooting
• Partner with account managers to help close business
• Conduct customer and internal product training sessions
• Create product demos, BOMs, and solutions for customers
• Minimal overnight travel, but regular in‑person customer visits
