Lumicity is seeking a Field Applications Engineer based in Fremont, California, to support Silicon Valley customers in adopting, deploying, and debugging high-speed test equipment across diverse applications.

The role involves assisting with testing strategies, installing and debugging systems, and collaborating with engineering to address customer needs. Travel and on-site support are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering is required.
• Academic emphasis in Electronics and/or Telecommunications is required.
• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred.
• Knowledge of Linux and C++ is preferred.
• Experience with high-speed test equipment (e.g., BERTs, oscilloscopes) preferred.
• Three+ years of relevant industry experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with semiconductor and system testing strategies and recommend solutions.
• Install, configure, and debug test systems at hardware and software levels.
• Help customers maximize use of hardware and software test solutions.
• Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to address customer needs.
• Gather market intelligence and identify potential customer opportunities for the sales team.
• Communicate customer feedback and new product ideas to engineering and product management.
• Provide on-site customer support as needed; some travel is required.

We specialize in high-speed test fixtures and test equipment that enable the continued evolution of cloud computing and artificial intelligence technologies. This Field Application Engineer position is based in Fremont, California, with primary responsibility for supporting Silicon Valley customers in adopting, deploying, and debugging high-speed test equipment across a wide range of applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist customers with their semiconductor and system testing strategies and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Install, configure, and debug test systems at both the hardware and software levels.
• Help customers maximize the use of hardware and software test solutions.
• Collaborate closely with operations and engineering teams to address customer-specific technical needs.
• Gather market intelligence and identify potential customer opportunities for the sales team.
• Communicate customer feedback and new product ideas to engineering and product management.
• Provide on-site customer support as needed; some travel is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering required.
