Job summary

Concurrent Inc. is seeking a Field Application Engineer to interface with customers, project managers, and engineering teams to define and apply our VPX-based solutions, including single-board computers and rugged systems.

You will lead a small team of application engineers, ensuring prompt, accurate technical support and a strong customer focus while working in our US office with occasional travel to sites. This role blends technical depth with leadership and business awareness.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working directly with customers.
• High level knowledge of embedded engineering.
• Pre- and post-sales customer support.
• Knowledge of VPX and its ecosystem.

• Experience with Linux, Windows & VxWorks.

The Role

Reporting into the Technical Support Director, as a Field Application Engineer, you will be interfacing with our customers, project managers, and their engineering teams to assist in the definition and use of our solutions such as our single-board computers or systems.

You will also act as a team leader working closely with other application engineers to ensure that prompt and proper technical support is provided to our customers.

What will I be delivering?

This role will consist of two major functions:

• Face-to-face customer support acting as a technical expert.
• Team leader to help strengthen the team in our US office.

This is a fast-paced role where it is critical to be commercially aware as well as customer focused and will be an office-based role with travel to customer sites at short notice.
