Job summary

The City of Birmingham is seeking an Animal Control Officer to patrol an assigned area, capture stray or dangerous animals, transport them to appropriate facilities, and maintain detailed records of daily operations. You will issue warnings or citations and assist in investigations of animal abuse while prioritizing safety around the public and animals.

Requirements include a valid driver’s license and experience in customer service.

Responsibilities

• Patrols assigned area and responds to calls regarding animal control.
• Captures and transports stray or dangerous animals to approved locations.
• Maintains records of daily activities and incidents.
