Handshake is seeking a Field and Event Marketing Manager to own end‑to‑end field marketing and events across our Careers and Handshake AI lines. You will craft marquee experiences, from conferences to executive dinners, to build pipeline and deepen customer relationships.
You'll report to the Sr. Manager of Field Marketing and partner with Sales, Demand Gen, Content, Product Marketing, and Marketing Ops. The role combines strategic thinking with hands‑on execution in a fast‑paced environment.
Handshake was founded on a simple belief that everyone deserves a path to a great career, regardless of where they went to school or who they know. Today, we power 25 million job seekers, 1 million+ employers, and 1,600 educational institutions.
In 2025, we started Handshake AI and built the fastest-growing AI data business in history. We work directly with frontier AI lab researchers to create evaluations, publish benchmarks, and push the boundary of data. We’ve grown from $0 to ~$1B run rate and pay ~$60M to over 30K individuals every month.
The Field and Event Marketing Manager is a hands‑on role on Handshake's Marketing team. You'll build and execute field marketing and events across two distinct business lines: our Careers business (enterprise employers and higher education institutions) and Handshake AI (researchers and leaders at frontier AI labs and enterprise AI teams).
You’ll own end‑to‑end strategy and execution for marquee experiences – major conference presence, executive dinners, VIP and sporting events, workshops, and roundtables – all designed to build pipeline, deepen customer relationships, and accelerate deal cycles. You’ll report to the Sr. Manager of Field Marketing and work closely with executives and GTM leadership. The pace is fast and the expectations are high; we're looking for someone who's energized by that.
You're detail-oriented and thrive on ownership: when you commit to a project plan, nothing falls through the cracks. You're curious and creative, always asking "what haven't we tried?" You're comfortable contributing to budget conversations and vendor negotiations, and you know how to read campaign data to find what's working. You actively use AI to work smarter: streamlining workflows, drafting first-pass assets, and speeding up repetitive tasks.
