Qualifications

  • 6 years of aviation maintenance experience, including 2 years with Gulfstream aircraft.

Job description

Field Airborne Support Team AMT IV A&Pin Remote

$5,000 Sign-On Bonus Eligible

Unique Skills:

This is a remote opportunity. Must be available on an on-call basis, with the ability to be on site or dispatched within two hours of the initial contact from Gulfstream.

Recruiting in the Southwest region: Louisiana, Oklahoma, New Mexico, and Texas.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 6 years of aviation maintenance experience (avionics, electrical, and/or mechanical), including 2 years of relevant Gulfstream aircraft experience.
  • A&P (FAA Airframe and Powerplant) license required.
  • Valid Driver's License required.
  • Ability to obtain a Passport required.

Position Purpose: Perform various technical functions of aircraft maintenance, repair, replacement, and modification of key aircraft components on AOG aircraft, both on road trips and within the Customer Support organization. Troubleshoot and repair aircraft, supporting the customer in diagnosing and resolving technical issues on live in-service aircraft.

Job Description:

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Be available on an on-call basis, with the ability to be on site or dispatched on the FAST aircraft within two hours of initial contact from Gulfstream.
  2. Communicate effectively with customers, scheduling, FAST flight crews, Tech Ops, business office, vendors, Warranty, Field Service Reps, and Hangar Ops.
  3. Act as the single point of contact between Gulfstream and the customer to relay aircraft schedule and return-to-service expectations.
  4. Perform required AOG maintenance and servicing of all aircraft mechanical systems.
  5. Work independently to perform maintenance and avionics tasks within standard timeframes with minimal supervision.
  6. Repair, maintain, install, and troubleshoot mechanical and functional aircraft components, including airframes, engine parts, landing gear, electrical components, and control systems.
  7. Coordinate with inspection teams to ensure compliance with internal and FAA inspection and documentation requirements.
  8. Establish and maintain professional relationships with customers, providing briefings during road trips.
  9. Properly identify (tag) customer property and aircraft components, storing them securely.
  10. Follow SOPs and JSAs when operating ground support equipment.
  11. Operate and oversee special support equipment used in removal and installation of major components.

Additional Functions:

  1. Order and receive tooling and materials needed for AOG aircraft servicing.
  2. Arrange shipment of core units and tooling back to Gulfstream.
  3. Identify required troubleshooting techniques for all aircraft models with Tech Ops assistance.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Other Requirements:

  • Advanced knowledge of inspection and maintenance procedures for various aircraft models and systems.
  • Proficiency with technical reference materials (manuals, IPCs, Bulletins, drawings, ADS, etc.).
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
