Job summary

New Century FS, headquartered in Ames, Iowa with branches across Central to Northwest Iowa and Southeast South Dakota, seeks a Field Agronomy Inspector to perform regular crop inspections, document findings, and provide timely reports to the agronomy specialist and customers.

You will use Integrated Pest Management techniques and GPS technology to identify weeds, insects, diseases, and other yield threats, while assisting with maintenance and driving to field locations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
• Ability to travel independently as needed.
• Occasionally exposed to extreme weather conditions.
• Ability to lift 51–70 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular inspections of customer crop fields to monitor health and conditions.
• Document and photograph findings; complete inspection reports for agronomy specialist and customers.
• Discuss results with agronomy specialist and customers to add value.
• Assist with facility and equipment maintenance as needed.
• Attend scheduled trainings and meetings.
