Job summary

Lakeside Foods Inc. is seeking a maintenance technician to support harvest operations, supervise field teams, and perform preventive maintenance on harvest machinery.

The role covers peak-season July through November with responsibilities to oversee pea and corn harvesters and related equipment. During the off-season December through June, you will overhaul and repair field machinery, train staff in safe operation, and contribute to continuous production improvements.

Qualifications

• Prior experience with preventive maintenance, machine adjustments, and harvesting procedures is preferred.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Strong work ethic.
• Safety mindset.

Responsibilities

• Operate harvest season (July–November).
• Oversee operation of pea harvesters, sweet corn harvesters, and other field equipment.
• Supervise and train field employees in safe, proper, and efficient operation of field equipment.
• Assist in planting and harvesting of crops.
• Overhaul and repair machinery during the off-season (December–June).

What You’ll Do

• Harvest season (July - November)

• Serve as a supervisor/mechanic for field operations. Train other field employees in the safe, proper and efficient operation of field equipment.
• Assist in the planting and harvesting of crops.
• Preventative Maintenance Season (December – June):
• Overhaul and repair of machinery and vehicles used in field operations.
