Job summary

AKRS Equipment Solutions is seeking a field service technician to respond to service calls and perform complex diagnostics on agricultural equipment at customer sites.

The role requires strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic knowledge, plus experience with Service Advisor and DTAC cases. You will coordinate with the service manager to manage schedules and ensure excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience performing service repairs.
• Ability to work efficiently and in an organized manner to meet deadlines.
• Expert knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems used in the repair of agricultural equipment.
• Proficient computer skills.
• High School Diploma & Associates degree or equivalent experience required.
• Valid driver’s license required and forklift certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work the majority of the time in the field responding to service calls
• Coordinate with the service manager to manage the field-based service schedule and customer calls
• Clearly communicate with Service Manager, Service Clerk, Sales Representatives, Customers, Field Representatives, DTAC, and other Technicians
• Generate additional mobile service business, supporting the growth of the service business through excellent service and support in the field
• Perform complex diagnostics and repairs on agricultural equipment including both new and existing AMS products on location for customers
• Has a strong understanding of how to use Service Advisor, regularly submits well-prepared DTAC Cases, and instructs peers on how to utilize Service Advisor and submit well-prepared DTAC Cases
