Job summary

AKRS Equipment Solutions is seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to respond to service calls in the field and manage field-based service schedules in coordination with the service manager. The role emphasizes clear communication with managers, customers, and teammates while driving mobile service opportunities.

Candidates should have 5+ years of repair experience, strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic knowledge, and proficient computer skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience performing service repairs.
• Ability to work efficiently and in an organized manner to meet deadlines.
• Expert knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems used in the repair of agricultural equipment.
• Proficient computer skills.
• High School Diploma & Associates degree or equivalent experience required.
• Valid driver's license required and forklift certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work the majority of the time in the field responding to service calls.
• Coordinate with the service manager to manage the field-based service schedule and customer calls.
• Clearly communicate with Service Manager, Service Clerk, Sales Representatives, Customers, Field Representatives, DTAC, and other Technicians.
• Generate additional mobile service business, supporting growth of the service business through excellent service and support in the field.
• Perform complex diagnostics and repairs on agricultural equipment including both new and existing AMS products on location for customers.
• Instruct peers on utilizing Service Advisor and submitting well-prepared DTAC Cases.
