Job summary

Boston College School of Social Work invites applications for Adjunct Faculty - Field Advisor positions on an open, rolling basis. The Field Advisor supports students in field placements, coordinating with agencies and BCSSW staff to ensure compliance with field education requirements.

Based in BC, the advisor conducts seminars, reviews learning contracts, and holds site visits each semester. A MSW and at least five years of practice post-MSW are required, with supervision experience preferred.

Qualifications

• MSW degree required; licensure related to practice area preferred but not required.
• Minimum of five years of post-MSW practice experience.
• Experience supervising students and personnel will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide weekly supervision and guidance to students in field placements.
• Coordinate field education requirements and site visits.
• Lead seminars for First Year students (5 per academic year).
• Attend monthly advisor meetings and participate in BC governance as appropriate.
• Maintain professional credentials and participate in BC training programs.
