Job summary

Frontline Insurance is seeking a Field Adjuster to serve the South Carolina Territory, with duties spanning field and desk investigations, property inspections, and claim settlements. The role focuses on prompt service, accurate reserving, and effective communication with insureds, contractors, and internal teams.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent (some college preferred) and at least 2 years of field experience with an insurance carrier.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
• Minimum 2 years field experience with an insurance carrier.
• Proficient in Xactimate.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Must maintain required licenses.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional and responsive customer service to insureds.
• Review and adjust first-party claims within assigned authority limits.
• Research policy coverage forms for claim settlement or denial.
• Conduct basic claim investigations at both the desk and field levels, including coverage, cause, and damages.
• Contact insureds to schedule inspection of damaged property, travel to affected property, and conduct such inspections in a timely manner.
• Fully inspect, photograph, sketch and scope all damaged and undamaged areas of the insured property.
• Determine the total value of the claim.
• Utilize several software programs throughout the day to determine the parameters of the loss.
• Establish claim reserves according to guidelines.
• Provide verbal and written customer service.
• Document claim activity and potential subrogation.
• Participate in training and claim roundtables.
• Prepare basic claim correspondence (reservation of rights, denial letters).
• Assist with catastrophe operations as required, including, but not limited to working extra hours or deploying to affected areas to help policyholders.
• Assist with special projects or tasks as required.
