About Ossium

Ossium’s mission is to improve the health, vitality, and longevity of human beings through bioengineering. We develop, manufacture, and bank cell therapy products that apply the power of stem cell science to revolutionize treatment for patients with blood, immune, and orthopedic diseases. At Ossium, we empower our employees, maintain the highest standards of operational excellence, and are a force for good.

About the Job

We’re hiring a Field Accounts Manager Lead to help establish field account management, operational engagement, and access execution for Ossium Health’s cryopreserved bone marrow platform. This field-based, working‑manager role will be responsible for calling on bone marrow transplant centers, overseeing field account managers, and ensuring that commercial, operational, and access activities are aligned at the account level.

You will work directly with transplant centers, hospital reimbursement teams, and payers to help remove access barriers, support appropriate reimbursement pathways, and ensure operational readiness as Ossium transitions from clinical use into commercial adoption. You will be the first hire in our nascent account manager team and will have the opportunity to partner with cross‑functional leadership to refine and finalize commercialization strategy, playing a critical role in enabling early launch success.

This role reports directly to the Chief Commercial Officer.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 10+ years of experience in sales, market access, reimbursement, payer engagement, or related field-based roles
  • Strong understanding of U.S. healthcare reimbursement, particularly in hospital, inpatient, or specialty care settings
  • Experience working with academic medical centers or complex hospital systems
  • Experience supporting products sold directly to hospitals (e.g., devices, biologics, or transplant-related therapies)
  • Ability to operate independently in the field and manage a regional territory
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem‑solving skills
  • Experience managing a distributed field team
  • Willingness to travel regularly (up to 80%)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced degree in relevant field of study (MBA, MPH, PharmD, or similar)
  • Experience in hematology, oncology, transplant, cell or gene therapy, or other complex specialty therapies
  • Familiarity with hospital reimbursement concepts such as inpatient billing, DRGs, carve‑outs, and case‑rate discussions
  • Prior experience supporting launch or early commercialization of a novel or complex therapy
  • Experience working cross‑functionally with Medical Affairs, Commercial, and HEOR teams
  • Comfort navigating ambiguity in a high‑growth, pre‑/early‑commercial environment
Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the design and evolution of Ossium’s sales and market access strategy by piloting field engagement approaches and incorporating feedback from transplant centers and payer stakeholders
  • Execute regional market access plans aligned with Ossium’s launch and growth strategy
  • Engage with transplant center stakeholders including:
    • Allo‑HCT physicians
    • Transplant coordinators
    • Hospital reimbursement and billing teams
    • Transplant program administrators
    • Pharmacy, finance, and contracting stakeholders
  • Lead onboarding of new transplant center accounts and oversee commercial contracting, serving as the primary point of contact for each center
  • Define and finalize field account team sizing and territory structure
  • Hire, train, and manage the Field Accounts team
  • Support education around reimbursement pathways, hospital billing considerations, and payer processes related to Ossium’s products
  • Partner with internal teams (Market Access, Medical Affairs, Commercial, Clinical Ops) to resolve access challenges and elevate issues as needed
  • Gather field insights on payer policies, hospital reimbursement dynamics, and site‑level barriers and communicate learnings back to internal stakeholders
  • Support preparation for payer discussions, including coverage policies, case examples, and access materials
Projects in Your First Six Months
  • Bring field‑based account insights to refine Ossium’s commercial and access strategy, including account segmentation, value messaging, and budget impact assumptions across transplant centers
  • Support priority transplant centers with account onboarding, operational readiness, and access education
  • Partner directly with transplant centers to identify and resolve early operational, reimbursement, and billing considerations, ensuring a smooth path to initial commercial use
  • Build a high‑performing Field Accounts Team to cover key transplant centers
  • Provide real‑world feedback from account interactions to internal teams, including insights on site‑level decision-making, operational workflows, and payer dynamics
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of field‑facing tools and resources, including account playbooks, access materials, FAQs, and operational guidance
  • Help establish consistent field workflows for account management, operational coordination, and access‑related inquiries, including clear escalation pathways and internal handoffs
We Offer a Full Slate of Employee Benefits
  • Competitive salaries
  • Stock options
  • 401(k) matching
  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • Four weeks of PTO accrued annually (vacation & sick time) + 11 company holidays
  • Employer‑paid life insurance and long‑term disability
