Job summary

Syneos Health Commercial Solutions is seeking a Field Access Specialist to manage defined accounts in a specific geographic region within the cardiac therapeutic area, supporting customer products.

The FAS will execute the territory strategy in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, including HUB, sales, and market access, ensuring access processes and patient support programs are understood and implemented.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or minimum three years of experience in public or private third-party access arena or pharmaceutical industry in managed care, clinical support, and/or sales or a minimum of 6 years biologic coordinator experience.
  • Experience with specialty/biologic self-injectable or physician-administered products.
  • Ability to educate offices on access processes and patient service programs.

Responsibilities

  • Act as an extension of the call center/HUB and provide live one-on-one coverage support.
  • Serve as payer expert for defined geography and communicate payer changes to stakeholders.
  • Educate offices on access processes, formularies, insurance forms, prior authorization, and appeals.
  • Review patient-specific information in reimbursement cases as requested by the office to resolve access issues or coverage challenges.

The Field Access Specialist (FAS) will execute the collaborative territory strategic plan through partnership with internal and external stakeholders, which may include call center services (HUB), sales, market access, and other collaboration partners.

In this role, you will be responsible for the management of defined accounts in a specified geographic region within the cardiac therapeutic area, specifically supporting our customer’s products. The Field Access Specialist (FAS) will execute the collaborative territory strategic plan through partnership with internal and external stakeholders, which may include call center services (HUB), sales, market access, and other collaboration partners.

Responsibilities include ensuring understanding of access processes and patient support program. You will:

  • Act as an extension of the call center and/or HUB and provide live one-on-one coverage support
  • Serve as payer expert for defined geography and able to communicate payer changes to key stakeholders in a timely manner
  • Offer office education during the entire access process which may include formulary coverage/utilization management criteria, insurance forms & procedures, benefits investigation, prior authorization, appeal, and/or claims resolution
  • Review patient-specific information in reimbursement cases where the office has specifically requested assistance in resolving access issue or coverage challenge

Essential Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or a minimum three years of experience in public or private third-party access arena or pharmaceutical industry in managed care, clinical support, and/or sales or a minimum of 6 years biologic coordinator experience
  • Experience with specialty/biologic self-injectable (pharmacy benefit) or physician administered (buy and bill/medical benefit) products
  • Demonstrated ability to educate offices on access processes including educating HCPs on client specific Patient Service programs (i.e. copay, nurse education, patient assistance, etc.) and delivering educational presentations
  • Ability to manage ambiguity & problem solve
  • Must live within territory or within territory boundaries.
