Job summary

Parabit Systems, Inc. seeks an experienced Field Service Technician to install, configure, commission, maintain, and troubleshoot commercial access control systems and related equipment in the Pittsburgh area.

The role also supports Parabit kiosks, digital signage, and video surveillance, with on-site, phone, and remote technical support as needed. Requirements include 3–5 years of hands-on access control experience, strong wiring and networking knowledge, and the ability to lift up to 50

Qualifications

Three to five years of hands-on experience installing, servicing, or troubleshooting commercial access control systems.
Strong practical knowledge of access control wiring, controllers, card readers, request-to-exit devices, and related hardware.
Experience troubleshooting access control issues at device, wiring, power, network, and software levels.

Responsibilities

Install, configure, test, commission, inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair access control systems.
Work with panels, readers, credentials, door hardware, and related components.
Diagnose and resolve wiring, power, network, and software issues affecting access control.
Verify proper locking, monitoring, and life-safety operation of controlled openings.
Document low-voltage cabling per codes and project standards.
Configure IP addresses, network settings, and device coordination with customer IT.
Provide on-site, phone, and remote support including end-user training.
