JPMorgan Chase & Co. in New York is seeking an Associate to support the Markets Investments & Acquisitions team.

You will help identify, evaluate, and execute strategic investments, warrants, acquisitions, and NewCos/JVs across FICC and related Markets business lines. The role involves diligence, financial analysis, structuring, negotiation, and post-investment governance, translating complex inputs into clear recommendations for senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in investment banking, corporate development, strategic investments, private equity/growth equity, venture capital, strategy, management consulting, markets, fintech, or other analytical roles.
• Strong analytical and financial skills (financial statements, valuation, scenario analysis, transaction comparables, business-case development).
• Strong interest in financial markets, FICC products, market structure, fintech, and strategic investing.
• Ability to evaluate companies across strategic and financial dimensions (product-market fit, revenue model, competitive positioning, scalability, risks, and strategic relevance).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to produce senior-ready recommendations and materials.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment; proficiency with PowerPoint/Excel and productivity tools.

Responsibilities

• Support evaluation and execution of strategic investments, warrants, acquisitions, NewCos/JVs, and other initiatives across FICC and related Markets.
• Conduct diligence and analysis across market landscape, company/product, financials/valuation, strategic fit, and risks/controls.
• Assist in structuring and negotiating investment terms, including cash-efficient structures linked to relationships.
• Prepare senior-ready materials for governance forums and investment committees.
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to drive alignment, diligence, and execution.
• Support portfolio management and post-investment governance, including KPI tracking and board materials.
• Track industry trends and develop market maps, engaging with founders, fintechs, incumbents, and investors.
