Job summary

Fluid Motion, LLC, a premier boat manufacturer and the parent company of Ranger Tugs and Cutwater Boats, is seeking a Fiberglass Laminator to fabricate high-quality fiberglass boat components in accordance with production specs and safety standards.

The role involves hand lay-up, operating and maintaining lamination equipment, and ensuring product quality while supporting a 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM shift, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform hand lay-up and lamination processes.
• Experience with fiberglass laminating equipment and materials.

Responsibilities

• Mounts rolls of fiberglass on chopper gun machine spindles.
• Threads fiberglass through machine rollers and secures film to take up spindles.
• Operates and maintains the chopper and gel-coat gun and other lamination equipment.
• Adjusts controls to regulate speed, temperature, and pressure of laminating equipment.
• Uses rollers to physically remove air and resin from the fiberglass and roving.

Fiberglass Laminator is responsible for manufacturing high-quality fiberglass boat components by applying fiberglass materials, resins, and reinforcement fabrics to molds according to production specifications. This position performs hand lay-up and lamination processes, ensures product quality and dimensional accuracy, and follows all safety, environmental, and quality standards. The Fiberglass Laminator works as part of a production team to meet manufacturing schedules while maintaining a clean and organized work area.

Shift Hours: 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM - Monday to Friday

Requirements

Fiberglass Laminator:

• Mounts rolls of fiberglass on chopper gun machine spindles.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular and consistent basis.
• Ability to bend, stoop, lift, climb, balance and reach for the duration of the shift.
• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for the entire duration of shift.
