Job summary

Opti Staffing's client in the Greater Vancouver area is seeking a Production Assistant to support fiberglass fabrication projects. You will assist in making paper mill filters, chemical tanks, and custom pipe systems, using power tools and measuring devices while reading blueprints.

Ideal candidates are eager to learn a skilled trade, comfortable in dusty environments, able to lift 50+ lbs, and willing to pass a respirator fit test.

Qualifications

• Interest in learning a skilled trade / fabrication.
• Willingness to work around fiberglass dust and chemicals.
• Ability to read blueprints and measurements accurately.
• Capable of lifting 50+ lbs and working in confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Assist in fabrication of paper mill filters, tanks, and pipes.
• Operate power tools, grinders, and measuring tools safely.
• Read blueprints and take accurate measurements.
• Work in dusty environments and follow safety protocols.
