Express Employment Professionals - Cincinnati East seeks a dependable Fiberglass Shop Worker in Slaughter, LA. The role involves working with fiberglass to build, repair, and finish products according to specs. Ideal candidates have hands-on experience in fiberglass, automotive body shops, or similar production environments.

You will measure, cut, lay up, resin-apply, sand, and finish parts, read blueprints, and operate hand and power tools. Competitive pay and overtime potential offered.

Location:Slaughter, LA

Job Type: Full-Time Mon-Thurs 7a-4:30pm

Job Description:

We are seeking a dependable and skilled Fiberglass Shop Worker to join our team. This position involves working with fiberglass materials to build, repair, and finish products according to specifications. The ideal candidate will have experience in a fiberglass, automotive body shop, or similar hands-on production environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Measure, cut, and shape fiberglass materials with precision


• Read and interpret tape measurements accurately


• Follow blueprints, drawings, and work instructions


• Lay up fiberglass, resin application, sanding, and finishing


• Perform repairs on fiberglass components


• Maintain a clean and safe work environment


• Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately


• Experience reading and understanding blueprints or shop drawings


• Previous fiberglass experience or automotive/body shop experience preferred


• Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship


• Ability to work with hands in a physically demanding environment


• Dependable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team

Preferred (but not required):

• Experience with gel coat, molds, or composites


• Familiarity with sanding, buffing, or finishing techniques


• Experience using grinders, sanders, or spray equipment

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift 50 lbs


• Able to stand for long periods


• Comfortable working in a shop environment with dust and odors
