Job summary

Pratt Industries in Henderson, KY seeks a Fiber Yard Operator to stage bailed and loose raw materials for the paper mill. You will operate forklifts, front end loaders, or Bobcat equipment in a 24/7, 12-hour shift rotation and must read orders, perform basic calculations, and document activities.

Communication with teammates and supervisors is essential. Responsibilities include safely climbing onto equipment, inspecting guards, following lockout/tagout procedures, and maintaining inventory

Qualifications

• Ability to read orders and prepare legible reports.
• Basic computer use and/or computerized scanning
• Strong reading and teamwork skills for plant operations
• Ability to climb onto equipment and operate controls
• Understand inventory procedures and document activities

Responsibilities

• Read orders and prepare legible reports.
• Operate forklifts/front end loaders/Bobcat as required in a 24/7 shift operation.
• Maintain safety by following lockout/tagout procedures and plant safety rules.

Education

Post-secondary degree (2-4 year) or equivalent
