Job summary

Pratt External Careers Site is seeking a Fiber Yard Material Handler for our paper mill. You will operate heavy equipment, stage raw materials, and support production to ensure a steady material flow.

Applicants should have experience with forklifts, front-end loaders, and Bobcats, plus a safety-conscious approach and the ability to read orders and perform basic calculations. A 2–4 year degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience operating industrial mobile equipment (forklifts, loaders, Bobcats).
• Ability to read orders, perform basic calculations, and document activities.
• Strong safety awareness and adherence to procedures.
• Willingness to work rotating 12-hour shifts (days/nights).
• Education preferred: 2–4 year degree or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts, front-end loaders, and Bobcats to stage bails and materials.
• Maintain inventory organization and support production goals.
• Follow safety rules, PPE, and lock-out-tag-out procedures.
• Collaborate with team and supervisor for seamless operations.
• Read orders, perform calculations, and update records with basic computer tools.
• Perform pre/post-shift equipment checks and basic housekeeping.
