Hardy Industries is seeking skilled Fiber Testing and Splicing Technicians to support a growing national client base. This role involves certifying fiber links with OTDRs, troubleshooting impairments, performing fusion splicing, replacing damaged jumpers, and identifying faults across critical infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Fiber testing and troubleshooting experience required.
• Experience with OTDRs, power meters, light sources and fiber certification equipment.
• Understanding of single-mode and multi-mode fiber optic systems.
• Familiarity with structured cabling standards and best practices.
• Ability to read network diagrams, splice schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation.
• At least 1 year of Fiber, IT, or Telecom experience, and one certification OR 5+ years field experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform fiber optic tasks including splicing (fusion/mechanical).
• Conduct OTDR testing, power meter and light source testing, and fiber certification.
• Identify faults and perform continuity testing across infrastructure.
• Inspect, clean, and remediate connectors; replace jumpers as needed.
• Install, terminate, and test single-mode and multi-mode fiber cabling.
• Document test results, splicing records, and project deliverables.
