Hardy Industries is seeking skilled Fiber Testing and Splicing Technicians to support our growing national client base. This role goes beyond basic testing, with duties including OTDR testing, fusion splicing, fault identification, and documentation of test results.

Qualifications

• Fiber optic testing and troubleshooting experience required.
• Experience with OTDRs, power meters, light sources, fiber certification equipment, and visual fault locators.
• Understanding of single-mode and multi-mode fiber optic systems.
• Ability to read network diagrams, splice schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation.
• 1 year of Fiber, I.T., or Telecom experience, or 5+ years field experience; certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform fiber optic and technical tasks including splicing and testing.
• OTDR testing, power meter testing, light source testing, and fiber certification.
• Fiber continuity testing and fault-distance identification.
• Connector inspection, cleaning, remediation, and jumper replacement.
• Installation, termination, and testing of single-mode and multi-mode cabling.
• Document test results, splicing records, and project deliverables.
