Job summary

Insight Global is seeking an Infrastructure Implementation Specialist to act as the onsite technical lead for data center connectivity and infrastructure deployments. The role oversees installation, validation, and delivery of physical network infrastructure, including fiber, copper, and connectivity between racks, rows, and data halls.

The IS ensures deployment readiness, quality of execution, and safe project delivery across enterprise, colocation, hyperscale, and edge environments.

Job Description

The Infrastructure Implementation Specialist (IS) serves as the onsite technical lead for data center connectivity and infrastructure deployments. This role is responsible for overseeing the installation, validation, and delivery of physical network infrastructure, including fiber, copper, active network equipment, and connectivity between racks, rows, and data halls.

The IS acts as the primary field owner for execution quality, installation sequencing, troubleshooting, and deployment readiness. Working across enterprise, colocation, hyperscale, and edge environments, the IS ensures infrastructure is installed according to design specifications, tested successfully, and delivered on schedule.

Success in this role is measured by quality of execution, deployment readiness, issue resolution, schedule adherence, and safe project delivery.

Skills and Requirements

Proven experience leading connectivity deployment projects, including coordinating fiber optic infrastructure installations from planning through completion.

Hands‑on expertise with fiber optic cabling, including installation, routing, dressing, termination, and testing of fiber connections.

Strong understanding of cable management best practices, including pulling cable through trays, organizing pathways, and maintaining clean rack installations.

Experience patching and connecting fiber and network infrastructure within data center, telecommunications, or enterprise environments.

Ability to perform quality inspections and validate completed installations for workmanship, compliance, and operational readiness.

Knowledge of network infrastructure standards, safety requirements, and installation best practices to ensure reliable connectivity deployments. OSHA 10 or 30
