Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Data Center Technician II to support data center and critical infrastructure projects across client environments. The role involves executing installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting of IT infrastructure with moderate independence.

Responsibilities include building conveyance grids, installing fiber, cabling, grounding cabinets, and configuring cabinets and PDUs in fast-paced field environments. OSH/NFPA safety credentials are preferred.

Qualifications

• 1-2+ years in data center, telecom, or IT infrastructure environments.
• Hands-on cabling, hardware installation and troubleshooting experience.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Ability to read and interpret technical docs and diagrams.
• Experience with fiber testing tools or electrical testing equipment.
• OSHA/NFPA 70E or equivalent safety certifications.

Responsibilities

• Installing conveyance (ladder rack, basket tray & fiber guide).
• Install, splice & terminate fiber.
• Run conduit & max cell.
• Install & anchor cabinets.
• Grounding of cabinets & raceway.
• Install rack PDUs.
• Install koldloks & floor tiles; understand cold-aisle layouts.

Insight Global is seeking a Data Center Technician II, to support data center and critical infrastructure projects across client environments. This individual will be responsible for executing installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting of IT infrastructure while operating with moderate independence.

This role will support project delivery, mentor junior technicians, and partner with internal teams and vendors to ensure successful execution. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in data center environments, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work in fast-paced, field-based settings.

Responsibilities include:

• Building conveyance support grid
• Installing conveyance (ladder rack, basket tray & fiber guide)
• Install, splice & terminate fiber
• Run conduit & max cell
• Install & anchor cabinets
• Grounding of cabinets & raceway
• Install rack PDUs
• Install koldloks & floor tiles - familiar with how floor tiles fit into cold aisle configurations.
