Legrand in New London, CT is seeking a Fiber Test Engineering Support Technician to perform comprehensive testing and evaluation of fiber optic components to ensure quality and compliance. Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Fiber Test Engineering Support Technician to join the Power & Thermal Management division in New London, CT. The Fiber Test Engineering Support Technician performs comprehensive testing and evaluation of fiber optic cables, connectors, and advanced connectivity solutions to ensure product quality, reliability, and compliance with industry standards. Accurately document, analyze, and communicate test results to engineering and product development teams, providing critical data to support innovation and product improvement. Collaborate with cross-functional technical teams to troubleshoot testing challenges, identify root causes of equipment or process issues, and recommend effective solutions. Utilize industry-standard testing methodologies, including TIA and Telcordia requirements, along with specialized equipment such as IL/RL meters, force testers, endface geometry measurement systems, fiber inspection tools, modal explorers, and environmental chambers. This position offers the opportunity to work with next-generation fiber optic technologies, collaborate with innovative engineering teams, and contribute directly to the development and qualification of products used in critical network infrastructure worldwide.
