Job summary

BHC in Overland Park, KS is seeking a Project Manager 1 to lead fiber design initiatives within our Telecom Group. You will manage cross-functional teams of engineers and oversee scope, schedule, and budgets for straightforward projects, ensuring timely client invoicing and high-quality deliverables.

The role emphasizes relationship-building with customer project reps, documentation, and proactive risk management while supporting departmental growth and capability expansion.

Qualifications

• Six or more years in civil/telecom design projects such as Long Haul or FTTH.
• At least 1 year of demonstrated project management skills.
• Experience with fiber design, drawing production, survey and mapping.

Responsibilities

• Oversee multi-discipline team of OSP, GIS, and civil engineers on fiber design projects.
• Define and monitor scope, schedule, cost, resources, quality and deliverables.
• Document records, plans, permits, and create workflows and reports.
• Manage budget and invoicing, including consultant invoices.
• Coach and supervise project team members and subconsultants.
• Follow best practices and tools for project execution and management.
• Assist in business development and proposals for growth.
• May have supervisory responsibilities.
