Job summary

Orbitel Communications is seeking a Fiber Technician to splice and maintain fiber for residential and commercial customers. The role focuses on delivering a best-in-class customer experience, with on-call responsibilities and heat-exposed fieldwork.

We require at least 5 years of fiber experience, a clean driving record, and proficiency with fusion spicers, OTDRs, and power meters. The position is full-time with competitive hourly rates and benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years experience in fiber optics or related field.
• Valid driver's license; ability to prep fibers up to 432ct fiber sheath.
• Experience with fusion splicing, OTDR, and power meters.

Responsibilities

• Maintain broadband system; locate trouble and repair fiber segments.
• Perform fiber splicing and termination for new builds and restorations.
• Maintain fiber optic network integrity to ensure high customer experience.
