Job summary

GridSource is seeking Fiber Technicians in Platteville, WI to install, maintain, and troubleshoot high-speed internet for residential customers. Qualified candidates must provide their own pickup or SUV with ladder racks and be able to carry a 28-foot fiberglass ladder with midspan hooks and V-rung.

A valid driver's license and lifting ability are required. We offer a weekly paycheck and a comprehensive benefits package, plus a $2,500 sign-on bonus for joining our team.

Qualifications

• Must have experience in residential fiber installation.
• Technician must have their own truck, van, or SUV with a ladder rack and 28' fiberglass ladder with V-rung and mid-span hooks as well as all climbing equipment.
• Technician must have their own tools to perform the job. An Android smartphone is also a requirement.
• Technician must have PPE, lace-up boots with a 1/2-inch heel, and safety cones. Other PPE may be required by local management.
• Must be available to work flexible hours. Weekend work may be required.
• Must be able to pass background and drug screening.
• Must have a good driving record.
• Must be able to lift 75+ lbs continuously.
• Able to work with minimal supervision and complete tasks assigned in a timely manner.

Qualified candidates must be fully tooled and have a Truck, Van or SUV to carry a ladder. A 28-foot Fiberglass Ladder with Midspan Hooks and V-rung is also required. Fiber Installers are engaged with performing installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of high-speed internet. Also, the wiring and equipment of data and voice networks.

What you'll do:

• Perform Residential fiber installation
• Observe all safety rules and regulations
• Assist other technical personnel in the performance of their duties when requestedMust convey a positive and professional appearance and demeanor when communicating the company's products and services to our customers

• Accountability/dependability (on time and on load when scheduled and serve on call as needed)

What you'll need:
