Job summary

GridSource is seeking Fiber Technicians in Spooner, WI to perform residential fiber installation and uphold safety standards. You will assist other technicians, convey a professional image to customers, and actively support sales and marketing efforts while staying dependable and on-time for scheduled work.

The role requires owning a truck/van/SUV with ladder rack, climbing gear, personal tools, PPE, and an Android smartphone; weekend work may be needed, and a clean driving record is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in residential fiber installation required.
• Must have own truck/van/SUV with ladder rack and ladder and climbing gear.
• Must have own tools and an Android smartphone.
• PPE and safety gear required; ability to pass background and drug screening.
• Flexible schedule with weekend work may be required.
• Valid driving record and ability to lift 75+ lbs.

Sign-On Bonus:$2500

What you'll do:

• Perform Residential fiber installation
• Observe all safety rules and regulations
• Assist other technical personnel in the performance of their duties when requested
• Must convey a positive and professional appearance and demeanor when communicating the company's products and services to our customers
• Actively support sales and marketing related activities
• Accountability/dependability (on time and on load when scheduled and serve on call as needed)
• Asking relevant questions to ensure problems are resolved quickly or to clarify information or directions
• Active Learning (curious seeker of new information and actively works to improve skills and knowledge)
• Assume all other duties as assigned

What you'll need:

• Must have experience in the field of Residential Fiber Installation.
• Technician must have their own truck, van, or SUV with a ladder rack and 28' fiberglass ladder with V-rung and mid-span hooks as well as all climbing equipment
• Technician must have their own tools to perform the job. An Android Smart phone is also a requirement.
• Technician must have some Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), lace up boots with a defined 1/2-inch heel, and safety cones. Other PPE may be required by local management.
• Must be available to work flexible hours. Weekend work may be required.
• Must be able to pass Background and Drug screening.
• Must have a good driving record.
• Must be able to lift 75+ lbs. continuously.
• Able to work with minimal supervision and complete tasks assigned in a timely manner.
