Aux Partners works closely with a KC based fiber company that is searching for an experienced commercial installation technician. This would be a full-time role with great starting pay, full benefits, a company vehicle, and equity in the company. This successful candidate must have previous commercial installation experience, and must be comfortable in a physical setting.

Responsibilities

• Installation, Service, and Maintenance: Install, maintain, and repair voice, video, and data communication services (Coax, Fiber, Copper) from headend to business customer locations. Requires intermediate to advanced knowledge.
• Troubleshooting and Repair: Diagnose and resolve issues related to plant and communication services with minimal supervision.
• Field Work: Drive company vehicle to job sites; work independently.
• On-Call Responsibilities: Participate in rotational on-call schedule, responding to after-hours emergencies and service requests; requires overtime and emergency response availability.
• Technical Proficiency: Proficient in using test equipment (DSAM, Optical Power Meters, Optical Scopes, Fluke meters, Telephone Test Sets, Toners, OTDR/TDR, Underground Cable Locators, Lenovo laptop, JDSU). Ladder certification required.
• Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all company safety policies, attend required training, and maintain a satisfactory safety record. Maintain punctual attendance.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the dispatch department.
• Professional Development: Keeping current on industry technological advancements.
• Administrative: Maintaining satisfactory attendance and punctuality.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience installing, servicing, and maintaining voice, video, and data equipment
• Proficiency in networking technologies (TCP/IP, LAN/WAN/MAN, Metro Ethernet, Ethernet P2P, PoE, OptiMan, FTP, TFTP, OSI model) and voice protocols (PRI, DTI, Analog trunking, SIP trunking, MGCP, Centrex, PBX).
• PC proficiency with Microsoft products
• Strong organizational and communication skills; professional appearance.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
