Job summary

Pearl Connections Inc is hiring experienced Fiber Technicians to perform FTTH residential installations and service activations across Grand Rapids and Lansing, MI. You will install, troubleshoot, and repair fiber internet services, test connections, and educate customers on equipment and services.

Travel throughout the assigned service area is required; weekend hours may be needed. We offer competitive pay up to $38/hour plus health insurance and PTO.

Qualifications

• Experience with FTTH residential fiber installations.
• Able to troubleshoot fiber internet services.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Capable of working independently in a fast-paced field environment.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.

Pearl Connections is hiring experienced Fiber Technicians to join our growing team. If you have hands-on experience with FTTH (Fiber to the Home) installations, this is an opportunity to join a professional team delivering high-quality fiber internet installations across Michigan.

We're looking for technicians who take pride in providing excellent customer service, completing quality installations, and helping connect communities through reliable fiber networks.

Schedule

Monday–Friday

Typical hours: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (schedule may vary)

Weekend work may be required based on business needs

Work Location

Service areas include:

• Grand Rapids, MI
• Lansing, MI

Responsibilities

• Perform FTTH residential fiber installations and service activations
• Install, troubleshoot, and repair fiber internet services
• Test fiber connections and verify service quality
• Educate customers on installed equipment and services
• Complete work orders and service documentation accurately

Requirements

• Previous FTTH or fiber optic installation experience
• Experience troubleshooting fiber internet services
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced field environment
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Ability to lift equipment and work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• White work truck required
• Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends
• $25–$38 per hour, depending on experience
