Job summary

DCOMM is seeking skilled Fiber Splicers to support increasing OSP underground construction projects. You will splice, test, and troubleshoot fiber optic cables, read blueprints, and document as-built data while collaborating with teams on site.

Qualifications

• Experience with fiber optic splicing, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of OTDR testing, bonding/grounding, and documentation.
• Ability to read engineering blueprints.
• Physical ability to bend, climb, lift up to 80 lbs, work in tight spaces.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Splice, terminate, and test fiber optic cables to deliver high-performance connectivity.
• Perform OTDR testing to verify splices, identify loss points, and ensure network integrity.
• Interpret blueprints and splice diagrams to complete projects accurately and efficiently.
• Troubleshoot and repair fiber issues to keep customers connected.
• Create and maintain as-built documentation and daily production reports.
• Work independently and as part of a team to meet project goals.
• Engage with property owners and residents professionally on site.

What We’re Looking For?

• Experience with fiber optic splicing, testing, and troubleshooting
